The time for big decisions has arrived for Le Socle. Our mission has been clear from day one: to transform creative workshops into structured, profitable, and exportable businesses. To help our creators transition from hobbyists to successful entrepreneurs.
To accomplish this mission and propel our accelerator, we need a headquarters that matches our ambitions. A nerve center where art, logistics, and high finance converge. Today, we are officially announcing that the future headquarters of Le Socle and our production hub, Atelier A, will be located in one of these two key regions:
Magog (Eastern Townships) or Baie-Saint-Paul (Charlevoix).
Why depart from the traditional model?
Historically, the creative world has often been content to simply survive. But for us, the mantra is simple: “Art is a business.” And above all: “Beauty pays off.” Under the leadership of our founder, Max Doré, we have completely broken with the model of dependence on subsidies. The sole objective of our private investment fund is profitability, rapid scaling, and export. High-end craftsmanship is a true asset class, and the location that will house our headquarters will benefit from a major economic advantage.
Clash of the Titans: Magog vs. Baie-Saint-Paul
Our leaders are currently in active discussions with private investment groups in these two municipalities. Each offers exceptional potential for our vision of regional growth:
Magog (Eastern Townships): A formidable strategic location. Close to the U.S. border to facilitate exports, with a pool of investors accustomed to luxury and value creation. It provides direct access to international branding.
Baie-Saint-Paul (Charlevoix): The historical cradle of art in Quebec. Establishing ourselves there means capitalizing on an unparalleled creative landscape, while injecting a massive dose of venture capital and cutting-edge e-commerce strategies. It's about taking a legacy and propelling it into the future.
A Radiant Impact: From Quebec, for all of Quebec, all regions of Quebec
Regardless of which city wins the bid and hosts Workshop A, our promise remains unchanged. Le Socle is not a local project; it's a province-wide empire in the making. Our accelerator will recruit, fund, and propel the best artists and artisans from every region. Whether you're in the Gaspé Peninsula, Abitibi, or Mauricie, our door (and our capital) will be open to you.
The final decision will be announced by summer 2026.
Until then, the message to creators and investors is the same: get ready. The craft model in Quebec is about to change forever.
