There is something dizzying about the beginning. That precise moment when the brush flies over the blank canvas, when the potter's hands touch the still-formless clay, when the writer stares at the blinking cursor on their screen. That moment is the moment of the Page blanche .

For some, it's a source of anxiety. For others, it's the ultimate playground, a realm of infinite possibilities.

At Le Socle , our daily mission as an accelerator for local artists and craftspeople is to transform this vertigo into momentum. We are privileged witnesses to the birth of artworks and, more importantly, to the evolution of those who create them. But until now, these stories, these struggles, and these flashes of genius have often remained confined within our walls.

That's why we are incredibly proud to announce our big new project today. Mark your calendars: in May 2026 , Le Socle launches its very first podcast, called " Page Blanche " .

Why "Blank Page"? The Genesis of the Project

The choice of name is not insignificant. In our daily support work in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, we meet talented artists who, despite their technical genius, often find themselves facing another kind of blank page: that of entrepreneurship, visibility, or the artistic direction to take.

"Page blanche" is a metaphor for creative resilience. It's the idea that every day, an artisan must reinvent their art, their business, and sometimes, reinvent themselves.

This podcast will not be a mere promotional showcase. We have designed it as a living archive of the creative process . We want to capture the essence of what it means to "make" art in 2026. Far from the romantic clichés of the tortured artist or purely utilitarian craftsmanship, we want to explore the raw and beautiful reality of those who have chosen to live by their hands and their minds.

At the Heart of the Episodes: More than an Interview, a Conversation

What can you expect when the first episode goes live next May?

"Page Blanche" is a series of episodes, where each installment is dedicated to a single guest. We will welcome painters, sculptors, cabinetmakers, jewelers, ceramists and textile designers from our local and regional ecosystem.

The podcast's structure was designed to offer real value to listeners, whether they are creators themselves or simply art enthusiasts:

1. The Path: There is no straight line

We often hear about "success," but rarely about the winding path to get there. How does an accountant become a glassblower? How does a childhood passion survive the pressures of adulthood? Our guests will share their stories with disarming honesty.

2. The Artist's Challenges: Breaking the Silence

This is often the most taboo subject. In "Page Blanche," we'll talk about the real challenges: financial insecurity, imposter syndrome, the difficulty of setting a price for one's work, the isolation of the workshop, and the physical exhaustion associated with craftsmanship. By naming these challenges, we hope to create a more supportive community.

3. Advice and Transmission

Because Le Socle is first and foremost an accelerator, the educational aspect is key. Each episode will conclude with practical advice. What tools have changed their lives? What routine allows them to remain productive? What mistake would they never make again? It's a goldmine of information for the next generation of artists.

Saint-Jean-Port-Joli: A Studio at the Heart of the Action

One of the distinctive features of "Page Blanche" is its geographical focus. We made a deliberate choice not to rent a sterile studio in a major metropolis.

The podcast will be filmed and recorded directly in our offices, right here in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli .

Why is this important? Because Saint-Jean-Port-Joli isn't just any village. It's a renowned creative hub, a place where the St. Lawrence River has inspired artists for generations. By recording here, in the Socle's premises, we invite the listener and viewer into our world.

The podcast's atmosphere will reflect this: warm, authentic, and rooted in the local area. You might hear the river breeze or the hustle and bustle of our offices. This is the life we want to share. Our offices are the meeting point for so much talent; it was only natural that they would become the setting for these conversations.

" We want you to feel, when you listen to or watch Page Blanche, as if you're sitting with us, a cup of coffee in hand, surrounded by wood shavings or canvases in progress. "

A Multimedia Experience: See and Hear

We know that content consumption has evolved. Sometimes, we want to see the emotion on a guest's face, to see their hands move when they explain a technique. Other times, we simply want to find inspiration during a car ride or while working in the studio.

That's why "Page Blanche" will be available everywhere:

  • On YouTube (Video Format): A polished production that will showcase our guests. Seeing the artist talk about their art adds an irreplaceable dimension of human connection. Furthermore, since it was filmed in our offices, you'll get a visual glimpse into the world of Le Socle .

  • Available on all audio platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.): For those who prefer pure audio, the sound quality will be excellent. You can take these inspiring stories with you wherever you go.

May 2026: The Beginning of a New Chapter

Why launch this project in May 2026? Spring is synonymous with renewal. It's the time when nature awakens from its slumber, when the sap rises. It's the ideal time to launch new ideas.

Between now and the launch, the Socle team is working tirelessly. We are selecting the first guests (and believe us, the selection is difficult given the abundance of talent!), we are fine-tuning the studio decor, and we are preparing the topics that will thrill the artistic community.

What this podcast represents for Le Socle

For us, "Page Blanche" is the logical extension of our work as an accelerator. Until now, we've helped artists structure their businesses, find funding, and improve their sales. With this podcast, we're adding a crucial string to our bow: outreach.

We want the artists of our region to be heard beyond the borders of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. We want their stories to inspire a young art student in Montreal, a collector in Paris, or another craftsperson in Vancouver.

Join the Adventure

The road to May 2026 will be paved with little glimpses and behind-the-scenes glimpses that we'll share on our social media. Creating this podcast is, in itself, an artistic adventure for our team, with its own blank pages to fill!

We look forward to introducing you to the faces and voices shaping the culture of today and tomorrow. Whether you're an artist seeking to break out of isolation, an art lover curious about what goes on behind the scenes, or simply someone who appreciates compelling human stories, "Page Blanche" will be your must-see destination.

Until then, keep creating, keep daring, and never be afraid of the blank page. It's just waiting for your mark.

See you very soon on the airwaves,

The team at Le Socle
